Horwin SK3: a new scooter with a refined and sporty style [PHOTO]

Horwin SK3 represents a new stylistic interpretation of the electric scooter, devoid of the soft features that have characterized the brand's production up to now. A new sporty and refined style for a vehicle L3e category with technological solutions that make it agile and functional.

The specialised farming model

The SK3 scooter is designed to facilitate the comfort of the driver. There is a spacious footboard and an extended, wide saddle. There is also a wide distance between the height of the saddle and the footrest, thus preventing the rider from bending his legs too much. From an aesthetic point of view, the dry and sculpted features stand out, which differentiate it from the range EK-3 and is offered in three colors: metallic blue, matte black and metallic gold. Also distinctive is the light signature of the full-LED front headlights, integrated with the design of the vehicle.
This electric scooter is equipped with a large backlit display that offers various information regarding battery level, autonomy, speed, cruise control and more. The key has an integrated remote control, allowing you to start, stop and immobilize the vehicle without having to insert the key into the ignition switch. Using this solution it is also possible to activate and deactivate the anti-theft system.
There is also a lockable compartment under the saddle that can accommodate a helmet or a backpack, if a second battery is not inserted, as specified. In the front body there is another space where you can store small objects or your phone. There is also a USB socket.

Technique and technology

The scooter features dual hydraulic shock absorbers at the front and rear and is equipped with a combined system CBS (Combined Braking System) designed for braking safety, avoiding wheel lock. The system distributes the braking force between the 220 mm discs of the braking system, limiting the braking distance and the risk at high speeds. The rims are aluminum alloy for 14 inch wheels on both sides.
The scooter is also equipped with a control system FIRE (Field Oriented Control) which oversees startup, as well as power balancing and energy consumption. The system detects driving conditions and manages the engine based on efficiency and performance. During braking it recovers energy and limits the output power in some acceleration phases to ensure the stability of the vehicle.
The highly efficient motor, developed by Horwin, transmits smooth and continuous power, as indicated. The power is 6,3 kW, capable of reaching a speed of 90 km/h.
The lithium battery from 72V/36Ah it promises a range of up to 80 km, at a 'Comfort Range' speed and a full charge takes just under five hours, as indicated. The compartment under the saddle also allows the housing of a second battery, rechargeable at the same time as the first, projecting the autonomy up to 160 km, still reporting the information.
