The motorcycle company Honda has released a first official teaser of the new adventure version of the VFR1200F, one of the motorcycles that are part of the sports touring range. The new variant will debut at the Milan Cycle and Motorcycle Show, Eicma, during the first days of next November, but only in concept form. The marketing by the manufacturer Honda will not take place for a few months, probably well into next year, as a 2012 model. This is the multiplication of the offer of the big-bellied VFR, in order to be more competitive on the Ducati Multistrada or Yamaha Super Ténéré or KTM 990 SMT.

The rounded and massive shape will not lose so much "visual weight" and the use of the inflated bodywork will still be conspicuous, despite the higher ground clearance, the chopped front fender and the rather vigorous lines. The new version of the Honda VRF1200F will be equipped with a 1.137 cubic centimeters displacement, four-cylinder in-line engine, equipped with the new VCM (Variable Cylinder Management) system developed by the motorcycle manufacturer.

That is, the device that removes cylinders from the engine in certain driving situations, to reduce consumption: the new version of VFR will be able to travel with two, three or four cylinders, with different power output and endowment. Furthermore, this new adventure touring from Honda could also be equipped with the same dual-clutch electronically controlled gearbox as the Honda VFR1200R DCT. We have no news of other details and we are waiting to be able to see first-hand the concept which will be exhibited at the 2010 Milan Motor Show.
