Honda Rebel CMX500 – At the Long Beach Motorcycle Show in California, Honda announces a new model for the 2017 model year: the Honda Rebel CMX500. A Custom destined to embrace a very large market "range": from the most expert riders to those approaching the world of two wheels for the first time. In fact, with its 33,5 kW, it can also be driven by holders of an A2 licence.
Although the style is simple and pure, this bike has personality and is able to highlight whoever rides it, a fundamental detail in the Custom genre. The rider's seat is placed just 690 mm from the ground making the new CMX500 very manageable and easy to ride. The seat is comfortable thanks to the slightly advanced footrests and the low bend of the handlebars.

The passenger seat is attached to the rear mudguard and, with the help of a screwdriver, is easily removable, making the Rebel an even more attractive looking motorcycle. The tubular frame, painted black, embraces the engine in 3 points and has been designed to be as narrow as possible where the rider sits. Steel tubes also for the rear swingarm, which houses two preload-adjustable shock absorbers. At the front, a 41 mm telescopic fork, inclined at 30°, brings the wheelbase to measure 1.488 mm. Dunlop bobber-style tires are mounted on slanted 10-spoke aluminum wheels and measure 130/90-16 at the front and 150/80-16 at the rear. Everything moves thanks to the 471 cc twin-cylinder engine, already seen on the CB500. Engine (EU4) modified, to be more suitable for the custom genre, in the settings of the ignition mapping, electronic injection and in the change of the exhaust system (2 into 1), leading, as mentioned in
previously, the maximum engine power at 33,5KW (45,6 horsepower) at 8.500 rpm and a maximum torque of 44,6 Nm at 6.000. A couple that allows you to have fun, riding the bike at low rpm, changing gears quickly.

The new "small" Custom from Honda doesn't seem to be missing anything, in fact it is also equipped with an ABS system, which works on a 264 mm front disc and a 240 mm rear disc, with two channels, to make everything even safer , and complete instrumentation consisting of a large backlit LCD screen to provide the rider with all the necessary information in the riding position. In Italy it will be available in two different colours: Graphite Black & Mat Armored Silver Metallic and with the following possible options: tubular rear rack, soft side bags, windshield and 12V socket.
