Honda: the True Adventure Offroad Academy returns in 2018

Honda – 2017 was the year of the consecration ofHonda True Adventure Offroad Academy, the riding courses organized by the Casa dell'Ala which in 14 weekends, from February to November, brought together over 170 motorcyclists who enjoyed the satisfaction of improving control of the motorbike off-road.

Thanks (perhaps) to the CRF1000L Africa Twin which has reawakened the desire for off-roading thanks to its exceptional ability to tackle off-road routes and a very strong call to put the wheels away from the asphalt. But how do you become a real dirt road driver? Since 2016, Honda has responded to this need with the True Adventure Offroad Academy, the off-road driving course program designed to satisfy the desire to feel safer on all types of off-road routes. Each course allowed both beginners and expert enduro riders to have fun in total safety, acquiring or improving mastery of the motorbike in all conditions of poor grip or rough terrain.

During the 14 weekends of the 2017 course calendar, over 170 motorcyclists enjoyed the satisfaction of learning or improving off-road motorcycle control. A success that will also be repeated in 2018 with a new, even broader calendar. In fact, there will be 18 course weekends, half of which are reserved for "Expert" courses, intended for those who have already participated in a basic course and want to improve further. To participate in the off-road driving courses of the True Adventure Offroad Academy it is necessary to own a Honda motorcycle from the current 'Adventure' range (CRF1000L Africa Twin, Crosstourer, Crossrunner, NC750X, owners of previous generation models (XRV Africa Twin, Transalp, Varadero, etc.). However, those who do not own a Honda motorbike or, despite owning one, prefer to participate in the course with a CRF500L Africa Twin from the school, can request it at the time of booking by paying a surcharge compared to the fee with their own motorbike.

The 2017 season of the Honda True Adventure Offroad Academy was a success

The True Adventure Offroad Academy has its operational headquarters in San Giorgio Piacentino, in the province of Piacenza, in Viale della Repubblica 2. The technical area is 22 hectares and includes a surface dedicated to fundamental exercises on a route of 2 km, and a route of over 7 km to practice the driving skills gradually acquired. The second day of the course, then, is entirely dedicated to an exciting off-road excursion of over 60 km!

The True Adventure Offroad Academy is operated by Marcellus Roman, a former enduro and cross rider, who takes care of the technical supervision and is an instructor in collaboration with a team of expert enduro riders. The courses last two days (Saturday and Sunday) and the participation fee includes: two lunches and one dinner in a farmhouse, staff responsible for mechanical assistance, tire assistance, medical assistance. The school secretariat, upon request, can book accommodation in nearby affiliated facilities.

For 2018 the retail price of the True Adventure Offroad Academy courses remains unchanged! It is 200 euros, with your own motorbike, or 400 euros with a school motorbike. Overnight stay is not included in the price. Here is the 2018 course calendar:
