Honda Motor Europe Ltd. Italia and MAAN Motocicli Audaci: the Super Cub 125X presented [PHOTO]

Entrusted to MAAN Audacious Motorcycles of Cagliari a revisitation of the scooter Honda Super Cub C125. Presented on the occasion Super Cub 125X.

The result

An example defined almost entirely in Sardinia and designed to drive on the over 500 kilometers of dirt road of the next one Dust'n Sardinia. Ideally alongside the new Super Cub C125. After Dust'n'Sardinia, foreseen by 17 al 19 September 2021, Super Cub 125X will be visible at the next edition of EICMA.
The changes made are functional to propose a new character, without structural interventions on the vehicle. A job that concerns aesthetics, talking about shapes and painting, and the suspension department. Also highlighted are the original rims with a new color, repainted in rough black and wrapped in knobby tires that have a generous section.

A concept developed by the Motocicli Audaci team in two months of work, studied without completely moving away from the series concept. Head of development is Nicola Manca, responsible for the design and general coordination, and Matteo Murgia, already known for Honda-based graphic works such as Crazy Monkey, Rebel Mask and Tokyo Legend.
The ducktail fender, custom developed in metal by Serri Motorsport, includes an LED light with integrated indicators. Parts such as the front plastics and the disc cover were configured in CAD and printed with the involvement of FabLab NAT14, a digital laboratory created at the Asproni high school in Iglesias. The students, led by prof. Massimo Lumini, tried their hand at the interesting project of a design that evoked adventure and enduro, keeping in mind the original fork covers.

The example retains numerous original parts of the scooter, for example the LED headlight, but there are also several innovations such as the two-seater saddle developed in leather and Alcantara, which from the original base tends to be more refined on the mudguard.
The suspensions, from Andreani Group, have specific calibrations for this model. Powermoto technician Fabrizio Corda intervened, aiming to enhance the new attitude to exploration, considering greater travel and ground clearance. The structure has been increased by 4 centimeters compared to the standard scooter.
Finally, moving on to the exhaust, the characteristic element of the side plastics was retained, this time in carbon, acting as an aesthetic and functional factor, becoming a heat shield and capable of containing the silencer custom-developed by Il Sarto dei Metalli, as reported.
