Honda, market: six models in the top ten positions in May 2023

The overall trend of the two-wheeled motorized vehicle market in Italy remains positive and Honda continues to be at the top, with the availability of new models. The new one in May XL750 Transalp it is the best-selling Honda motorcycle, given the 699 units registered.

Those interested in trying out the innovations branded by the Japanese brand can take part in the Honda Live Tour. In June, after the recent stop in San Salvo (CH), other events are planned in Vittorio Veneto (TV), Ponte di Legno (BS), Rome and Sestrière (TO). The Rome stage also features a driving school for beginners, paying attention to the female audience, with Honda 125 gears.

Returning to the market and considering the scooter sector, at the top stands out theSH350i with 1.266 units registered in May and 6.064 considering the annual total. This is the most marketed scooter in Italy.

Among the best-selling models there are several confirmations. The specimen CRF1100L Africa Twin in the two versions (also Adventure Sports) it totaled 394 units in May and 2.317 units since the beginning of the year and remains among the most popular models. Just as the new one remains in evidence CB750 Hornets which, among medium-sized naked bikes, was in third place in May with 316 units registered and second in the annual total with 1.227 units.

Among touring motorcycles, the one shines NT1100, the best-selling in Italy in its respective segment, given the 331 units registered. At the top of the maxi-scooter ranking, even considering that it still remains a motorcycle, is the model X-ADV 750, the “two-wheeled SUV” of which 3.555 pieces are reported. Among the examples cited are SH125/150i, first in May considering respectively the 1.410 and 971 units and in the annual total 4.482 and 4.354 specimens.

The situation at macro-segment level is also interesting, the brand is first in the motorcycle sector with 2.331 units registered in May and a share of 12,8%, therefore 8.845 for the year with a share of 12,2%. A notable result also in the scooter sector with 7.050 units in May and a percentage of 31,5%, therefore 29.505 for the year and a reference of 37,4%. Data that confirms Honda as the top brand in Italy with 9.381 units registered in May and 38.350 units since the beginning of the year, as highlighted on the occasion.
