Honda Hornet Concept: An All-New Engine for Lively Performance [IMAGES & VIDEO]
A new parallel twin, 92 horsepower maximum power
New information arrives on the development of the project Honda Hornet Concept, in particular on the engine. In the video proposed by Honda Italia Official Channel on YouTube, a view of the drive unit is outlined: a new parallel twin of 755 cc characterized by one 270 degree crank mechanism.
The engine of the Honda Concept
In the video appears the Test Project Leader for the development of the Hornet Concept, Fuyuki Hosokawa, who recently worked on the powerful Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade.
The new engine is a “short stroke” twin cylinder with 270 degree crank, as mentioned. A heart capable of transmitting lively delivery at high revs and equally vigorous torque at low and medium revs.
A disbursement “pungent”, as added on the occasion, accompanied by a sound “limping” typical of the irregular bursts of the 270° crank mechanism, linked in turn to a high-performance exhaust system.
