Lo electric scooter Honda EV neo it will be tested in Spain thanks to Honda's collaboration with the City Council of Barcelona. The Japanese company will supply 18 EV-neos which will be the protagonists of the one-year experimental program, ready starting from July 2011. Tests will be carried out during these 12 months on the road to evaluate the actual commercial and mobility potential of this vehicle.

With a autonomy of 34 km at a flat speed of 34 km/h, the Honda EV-neo is powered by a 2.8 kW electric motor powered by a lithium ion battery. To fully recharge the battery it will take three and a half hours with the standard charger, which can be conveniently carried under the saddle, or you can also have a rapid charger capable of shortening the complete charging time by up to 30 minutes.

Yukitoshi Fujisaka, President of Honda Montesa, explains that the Japanese company, the City Council of Barcelona and the RACC, the main Spanish automotive club, will be constantly involved in monitoring the activity of this scooter, perfecting its aspects and reporting its defects. Fujisaka himself then added: “We are pleased to bring Honda's EV technology to Europe for the first time. Testing the EV-neo in European conditions is an important step in developing our EV activities.”
