Honda DCT and NT1100: functional technology for touring enthusiasts [VIDEO]

After having noticed the off-road skills, in a new film proposed by Honda Motorcycles Europe, on YouTube, highlights the smooth ride supported by the DCT dual clutch gearbox linked on the occasion to the new one Honda NT1100.

In the system Honda DCT (Dual Clutch Transmission) operate two hydraulically managed clutches which limit the shifting times, disposing of the previous or subsequent ratio. The solution is associated with a varied overview of models from the Japanese manufacturer, ranging from the NC750X to the CRF1100L Africa Twin also in the Adventure Sports version.
Among the important factors of the system, the possibility of choosing between a mode is highlighted Manual and Automatica. Gear changes are facilitated by the action of paddles located on the left handlebar block and the presence of steel gears makes the mechanism robust.

This new specimen appears in the proposed video. A model available in colours Graphite Black, Matte Iridium Gray Metallic e Pearl Glare White, characterized by a fluid and refined style. An aspect made further recognizable by the bright pattern of the full-LED lights with automatic DRL system.
It features a five-position adjustable windshield with deflectors on the fairing and fairing for aerodynamic protection. The seat is placed 820 mm from the ground and the various solutions include: directional indicators with automatic deactivation and flashing function in the event of emergency braking; heated grips; USB and ACC sockets; cruise control; central stand and side cases.
The Honda NT1100 features a latest generation electronic package which includes engine management linked to three preset Riding Modes (Tour, Urban o Rain ) and two others that can be customized, including levels of HSTC traction control and antiwheelie and a Throttle by Wire throttle control.

The dashboard area features a 6,5-inch color TFT touch screen that can be connected to Apple CarPlay® or Android Auto® systems and via Bluetooth®.
The specimen is equipped with a semi-double cradle steel frame with an aluminum seat support frame. The tank can hold 20 liters of fuel.
The suspension part is composed of a Showa SFF-BP fork and a shock absorber, adjustable in spring preload and hydraulic management, with knob, in the rear area. The braking system includes modular systems with 4-piston radial-mount calipers and 310 mm discs at the front. The wheels are equipped with 120/70-17" and 180/55-17" tires.

The engine from 1.084 cc it is a parallel twin-cylinder heart. A specific tuning of the intake and exhaust is highlighted, as is a version equipped with the aforementioned DCT dual clutch gearbox.
The power reaches altitude 102 horses with a vertex of the pair of 104 Nm.
