A "demo" to learn about different functions
The new Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin it is a concentration of technique and technology, devoted to exploration. The instrumentation is among the most interesting aspects of the model, specifically a Touch TFT system in color from 6,5 inches.
A simulator
By connecting to the address https://www.honda.it/motorcycles/range/adventure/crf1100l-africa-twin/overview.html, specifically using the voice "Simulator" on the menu above, a web page appears which represents an instrumentation simulator. By virtually operating the ignition key, a "demo" function takes shape on the instrument screen, which can also be interrupted. By positioning yourself on the screen in the center, you can also notice the reactions, for example by acting on the multifunction block on the left or the one on the right. The "demo" function can always be called up from the top menu located on the right, as indicated.
This is a global project linked to the Honda technical assistance service, developed in a web version thanks to the Italian branch of Honda MotorEurope, taking the indications again.
A system that allowed owners to "practice" with functions excluding connectivity, as well as to potential buyers of "getting ready", but also to the same official and authorized workshops to have an additional tool in case of remote assistance.
A technological motorcycle
The Touch system is one of the sophisticated aspects of a project equipped with a versatile and proactive chassis. The dashboard TFT in color from 6.5 inches Touch type (only when the motorbike is stationary), with automatic background color and brightness, it allows the management of a complex technological overview. A framework that includes: Bluetooth connectivity for smartphones, Apple CarPlay for iPhone and on version adventure sports semi-active suspension and cornering lights, but also inertial platform, cornering ABS, seven-level traction control, three-level antiwheelie, three-level engine braking and four Riding Modes as well as two customizable ones, as mentioned.
