The initiative

The models

new Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin e Africa Twin Adventure Sports they present sophisticated technological solutions and are distinguishable by the same equipment. Among the technological factors, the LED headlights stand out with a renewed light signature and a 6,5-inch TFT display combined with Bluetooth connectivity and the Apple CarPlay® system. The Emergency Stop Signal solution is functional if emergency braking is applied; just as sophisticated is the aforementioned 6-axis IMU inertial platform. Also indicated are three-level anti-wheelie devices, dual-mode cornering ABS, seven-level HSTC traction control and Cruise Control. A DCT transmission is available, so we also note a Throttle By Wire accelerator with 6 Riding Modes, four set and two customizable, still taking up the information.
The heart is one parallel twin Unicam 8 valve Euro 5, from 1.084 cc. The power reaches i 102 horses a 7.500 rpm, therefore the couple i 105 Nm a 6.250 rpm. Also new is the exhaust system with ECV (Exhaust Control Valve) which operates at a certain speed. There is also a six-speed manual gearbox or alternatively the aforementioned DCT dual clutch sequential gearbox, again with six gears, with G function for off-road use, as indicated.
The new frame developed in steel is linked to an aluminum seat support frame. The Showa advanced pivot inverted front fork is adjustable and has 45 mm stanchions, with travel amounting to 230 mm. So behind there is an aluminum swingarm derived from the CRF450R with a manageable mono-shock and Pro-Link linkage, preload with knob and the travel reaches 220 mm, as reported.

Versions, colors, prices

The new example is offered, as mentioned, in two versions Africa Twin and Africa Twin Adventure Sports, with the availability of a DCT gearbox and three different setups, ranging from standard, Travel Edition and Desert Track. The Mat Ballistic Black Mettallic and Grand Prix Red colors are available on the CRF1100L Africa Twin, while Pearl Glare White Tricolour and Darkness Black Metallic cover the Africa Twin Adventure Sports. The numbers click from 14.990 euros ex dealer for a basic model with manual gearbox, while it costs 22.740 euros opting for a version of the CRF1100L Africa Twin Adventure Sports DCT Desert Track present at the top of the range, as reported.
