Honda CMX1100 Rebel: the double character of the model in two distinctive creations [PHOTO]

Honda MotorEurope highlights the double soul of CMX1100 Rebel and two creations by French trainer “FCR Original”. Two projects that were to be exhibited at Wheels & Waves festival in Biarritz, together with the ten best CB650R Special made by the brand's European dealers.

The Honda custom bobber

The specimen Honda CMX1100 Rebel features steel fenders oversized tires attached to a minimalist look with distinctive LED lights. The bike is equipped with a tubular steel frame, naked suspension and a powerful braking system. The twin-cylinder engine from 1.084 cc is derived from that of the Africa Twin.
The creations CMX “Sport” e CMX “Bobber” represent examples of potential customization.

FCR Original underlines the practicality of the model and also the sportiness, starting from the high-performance mechanics of the twin-cylinder engine with DCT gearbox. The use of red and black paint, in addition to other painted details, recalls Honda tradition. A full 3D scan was used with a custom tank made of polyester mixed with carbon, filled with aluminium, then an Alcantara saddle and a seat cover with integrated LED lights. The footpegs were built by hand and reinforce the sporty look of the model. The engine is standard and is combined with a stainless steel exhaust built by FCR Original.
The team worked on the project after the draft drawings. The front fender was made from scratch and placed 25 millimeters lower. A pair of oversized clip-on handlebars are visible to aid maneuverability and the speedometer has been placed on the upper steering plate. A modification to the swingarm allowed for a pair of black Öhlins rear shocks, a 17-inch rear wheel sourced from the CB500F, and a 212/190-ZR55 Dunlop D17 tire.

Emphasizing the vision bobbers, highlight the aluminum clip-on handlebars, an aluminum front mudguard with Mirrachrome finishes, a painted front headlight surround and a leather saddle with perforated leather ribs. Also placed are small Mini-Bates direction indicators from FCR Original and, as in the previous example, a 3D scan was used to create the tank in polyester mixed with carbon and filled with aluminium. We can also observe the finishing of the Mirrachrome in satin blue. Also placed is a ceramic-coated exhaust produced by FCR Original.
Another interpretation that highlights the custom side of the model and the bobber design. The swingarm and suspension lowered by 25 mm at the front are standard, as well as custom-built black spoked rims wearing Bridgestone tyres, as reported.
