The new Honda CBR600RR was presented in Suzuka, Japan, igniting the nostalgia of fans of a model and a displacement that for many years had an important place in the European sports motorcycle market.

A space which in Europe, driven by the Euro 5 standards and two-wheel market trends directed towards other motorcycle categories, has progressively shrunk to the point of becoming completely extinct. Despite the exit from the markets of the Old Continent, the Honda CBR600RR continues to be marketed in Asia and the United States.

The premiere in Japan

The new MY 2024 model, unveiled by Honda at the Suzuki 8 Hours, continues in the wake of the tradition of the motorcycle profoundly renewed in 2021, both in look and mechanics, with the current 121 HP engine. The new Honda CBR600RR presents itself with a soft touch to the aesthetics, as well as new colours, while it is not yet known whether the Japanese company has intervened on the engine as the technical characteristics have not yet been released.

Unlikely to see it again in Europe

This time too, it is difficult for the Honda CBR600RR to make a return to Europe. Moreover, the choice of location for the preview, which took place in Japan where the model has an important following, is also a clear signal that the motorcycle, in addition to the markets where it is already present, will focus mainly on the Japanese market.
