Honda CBR250RR 2017 – Once upon a time, at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show, there was the very bad Light Weigh Super Sports. A new concept, a new road sports motorcycle designed for emerging markets. What stood out above all was the new design, more angular than the other CBRs. An upside-down fork, a braking system with petal discs and a radial master cylinder with axial calipers could be appreciated. That dream has now officially turned into reality. PT Astra Honda Motor, the joint venture that produces and sells Honda motorcycles in Indonesia, has announced the arrival of the new CBR250RR.

While maintaining close links with the prototype seen at the Japanese show, the Honda CBR250RR 2017 shows a fairing with cleaner sides, while the front shows a "quadruple" light cluster. The rear, however, is high and sharp, which does not fail to accommodate a portion of the saddle reserved for the passenger. The strongly racing character is highlighted by the low handlebars and the masses visually moved towards the front.

The new Honda CBR250RR features a new 250 cc liquid-cooled inline twin-cylinder engine, fueled by injection and with 8-valve distribution controlled by a double overhead camshaft. There is talk of a maximum power of around 40 HP and a Throttle-by-Wire accelerator system, TBW, which can boast 3 selectable modes of use. The frame of the 250 Honda CBR2017RR is a steel tube trellis, while the swingarm is made of aluminum. The fork, as on the prototype, is upside down, with golden sliders, while the mono has progressive Pro-Link linkage and preload adjustable to 5 positions.

The CBR250RR will be built in Honda's largest market in the world, Indonesia, and will be the largest-displacement Honda manufactured in the Southeast Asian country.. Sales will begin at the end of 2016. It is not known whether it will arrive in Europe, but it will certainly arrive in Japan soon.
