Honda CB1000R: twelve customizations commemorating 50 years of the 4-cylinder CB [PHOTO]

Twelve customized Honda CB1000R models shown on the occasion of the transalpine event. Celebrated the 50th anniversary of a tradition dating back to 1969, the year of the iconic CB750 Four

The new HondaCB1000R It basically presents a refined and evocative style, typical of the models “Neo Sports Café”. Enriched with details, new components, colours, refinements that enhance its appearance, a more bursting liveliness and expressiveness emerges. The fruit of the skill of several specialists from the Old Continent, who have created interesting customizations. Twelve examples of aesthetic research on display at the event Wheels & Waves 2019 di Biarritz (France) until June 16th, celebrating the fifty years of the iconic CB750 Four. A tribute to the long tradition of CB designed by the Japanese company and powered by four-cylinder in-line engines.

Inspiration and creativity

Honda MotorEurope highlights the skill of various experts present in Italy, France, Spain e Switzerland, who shaped these twelve specimens, inspired by themes or other specimens also created by Honda. Creations exhibited on the occasion of the transalpine event together with a historic one CB750 Four of the 1969, recalling an important construction tradition. Not only the first large-scale inline four-cylinder model, but also the first equipped with a standard electric starter and front disc brake.
Starting from the examples made by Italian specialists, both signed by Honda Italy Industrial SpA in the Italian plant of Atessa (Chieti) according to the indications, include a “CB1000R Limited Edition” developed in solo 350 specimens numbered for the European market and another “CB1000R Tribute” which features a gold-colored paint finish that recalls that of the aforementioned CB750 Four and spoked wheels Jonich. A third "CB1000R Pedrosa replica” coated with colors Repsol and equipped with an exhaust inspired by the prototypes of MotoGP, made by the dealer Macchion motorcycle di Legnano in partnership with SC Project, pays homage to the former MotoGP champion Dani Pedrosa.
Four transalpine creations: an example inspired by Monkey; a “Black Edition” of the local dealer Honda 3C Motos di Biarritz, a work that draws inspiration from the success of Honda Moto at 24 Hours of Lem Mans of the 2006 and a refined interpretation of the concept of Café signed by Horizon Racing Vergy 95.
Three customizations resulting from a contest"Dream Garage", bound to Honda Spain and aimed at the dealer network. Suggestive CB1000R "Dirt Endurance"of VC Moto (Sabadell), colorful the “Monkey Kong"of Mallorca Motos, roaring then the “Alfred” which features a graphic motif linked to the models of Freddie spencer, signed by Hakuba Motos. Exemplary that also participated in the “Punks Peak Sprint Race” organized not far from Biarritz on the hill of Jaizkibel, above the town of Hondaribia, from which the event then takes place Wheels & Waves, as reported.
Finally, two creations from Switzerland and each with respective peculiarities. One “CB1000R-adical” developed by FuhrerMoto e Gannet Design in streetfighter configuration, it is equipped with a camouflage by Walter Oberli and equipped with carbon fiber wheels from Rotoboxes. So a "CRF1000R Africa Four” represents a particular fusion between the qualities of one CB1000R and the roaring aesthetics of an example of african twin, equipped with a fork taken from a CRF450R, tricolor painting HRC and gold-coloured rims, taking the indications on the model.
