Honda expands the 2019 CRF range

The house of the Golden Wing presented two new and three updated models

Except for the CRF250/450R motocross, true race-ready motorcycles, the CRF250/450RX specialist enduro models are approved to comply with the Highway Code

Honda MotorEurope announced several updates regarding the 2019 offroad range, as well as the introduction of two new models in the CRF family. There CRF450R, the technological flagship of the range, and the CRF450RX cross-country enduro version, benefit from an engine with more torque and power, while the CRF250R, a year after its total redesign, has been equipped with an engine with more torque at low rpm which improves speed when exiting slow corners. Finally, two new models expand the Honda off-road family: they are the CRF250RX, cross-country enduro version of the 'duemmezzo', and the dual-purpose enduro CRF450L. With these five new features, Honda underlines its commitment to the continuous development of the best off-road motorcycles and strengthens the CRF range to meet the needs of any off-road riding enthusiast. Except for the CRF250/450R motocross, true race-ready motorcycles, the CRF250/450RX specialist enduro models are approved to comply with the Highway Code.

CRF450L: new model

Using the CRF450R as a base, the new CRF450L has a strong and lightweight frame and chassis, to offer rideability and effectiveness on all types of surfaces, while the engine offers smooth and exploitable power delivery right from the lowest revs. It is designed as a dual-purpose for amateur enduro riders but also for those who want to use it on the road, so much so that it is equipped as standard with complete 'street-legal' equipment, a larger tank and full-LED lighting system. The high quality components and the focus on reliability have led to the 32.000 km service which includes extraordinary maintenance, thus creating a satisfying and carefree ownership experience.

The cross bike par excellence is now even more powerful, with an engine equipped with +2,5 HP of power and +2Nm of torque across the entire power range, thanks to a profound update of the cylinder head and intake systems and exhaust. There is also HRC Launch Control with 3 levels of intervention. The suspension has an improved set-up, the brakes feature a new front caliper and the handlebar is a Renthal Fatbar adjustable to 4 positions. The same features and updates as the motocross version are found on the 450 CRF2019RX, but with an 18-inch rear wheel, 8,5-liter plastic tank instead of titanium, dedicated suspension set-up and enduro tires.

One year after the launch of the completely redesigned model equipped with a twin-cam engine, the 250 CRF2019R has more torque at low speeds thanks to substantial interventions on the intake, fuel supply and exhaust. Like the 450 it is equipped with 3-level HRC Launch Control. Also new are the front brake caliper and Renthal Fatbar handlebar adjustable to 4 positions.

CRF250RX: new model

The CRF250RX fills the final step in Honda's specialist offroad range. It has the same features and updates as the motocross version, but with an 18-inch rear wheel, 8,5-litre plastic tank instead of titanium, dedicated suspension set-up and enduro tyres.
