Honda Adventure Roads: next stop South Africa

The first edition saw 40 enthusiasts set off on the CRF1000L Africa Twin for an 8-day, 3.500 km journey from Oslo to Nordkapp

The next edition of the Adventure Roads will start from Durban, arriving in Cape Town after a 3.200km journey

Honda MotorEurope has confirmed that following the positive response to its introduction in 2017, the next installment of the Adventure Roads tour will offer riders a “once in a lifetime” trip to South Africa in March 2019.

Honda Motor Europe: what it is

The first edition of Adventure Roads saw 40 passionate motorcyclists set off on the CRF1000L Africa Twin for an 8-day, 3.500km journey from Oslo to Nordkapp – the northernmost point in Europe – along winding roads past the breathtaking landscapes of Norway's North Sea coast. With the same organisation, Honda Motor Europe will once again offer the opportunity to 40 motorcyclists to ride the CRF1000L Africa Twin, also in the new 'Adventure Sports' version, on an unforgettable journey, on road and off-road, which this time will end at the point further south on the African continent. Starting in Durban, on the east coast of South Africa, the second Adventure Roads tour will take participants on a 3.200km journey across the entire width of the country – via Lesotho – to the beautiful city of Cape Town. The 12-day journey will take you through the epic landscapes of one of the most exciting adventure travel destinations in the world. “Adventure Roads 2019” is a “turnkey” package for 40 customers from all over Europe. With accommodation, guides and maintenance included, participants will be able to enjoy the raid in complete safety, thinking only of relaxing, riding and having fun. Furthermore, they will be able to meet and benefit from driving advice from some of the official drivers of the HRC Rally Team.
