Honda – At the Intermot in Cologne 2016 Honda presents the new versions of the Fireblade and the CB. Twenty-five years after the launch of the first CBR900RR Fireblade, the 25th anniversary of the Honda sports bike sees the introduction of two new versions: the completely new Fireblade SP and the new Fireblade SP2.

Since its birth, the Fireblade has always had low weight, easy handling and agility as its strong points. Respecting tradition, the new 2017 model of the Fireblade SP focuses on the weight/power ratio, with a weight reduction of 15 kg (compared to the previous Fireblade SP with C-ABS) and an increase in maximum power of 11 HP. The result, never seen before in the history of the Fireblade, is an improvement in the weight/power ratio of 14%.

For 2017 the new Fireblade SP and Fireblade SP2 take the very concept of "Total Control" to a higher level, thanks also to the adoption of an electronic package for the engine and chassis developed on the basis of the experience gained in the creation of the RC213V-S , the Honda MotoGP approved for road use. The result is unparalleled driving precision and an unrivaled perception of mastery and safety. For the first time in the history of the Fireblade, an even more extreme version will be available for 2017, the Fireblade SP2. Equipped as standard with lightened Marchesini wheels and an engine equipped with special components and features (valves, pistons and combustion chamber shape), the SP2 is the ready-to-race version of the Fireblade, thanks to the possibility of installing a racing kit which maximizes its yield.

At Intermot 2016 Honda also presents the renewed classic naked CB1100EX and the new CB1100RS, inspired by the world of café racers, two sensational examples of Honda engineering craftsmanship. If the CB1100EX seeks the perfection of the classic look with its beautiful 18" spoked wheels in stainless steel with galvanized coating, the new CB1100RS sports a sporty look, clearly inspired by café racer, with 17" light alloy wheels, pneumatic lowered sports bikes, low-bend handlebars, upgraded brakes with radial calipers and a more loaded setup on the front.
