Hero HX250R – The demise of Erik Buell Racing appears to have had a knock-on effect on the HX250R, the sports two-wheeler designs for Hero. There Hero HX250R, which should soon go on sale worldwide, will be the first motorcycle from the Indian brand to try to succeed outside the domestic market and has been extensively developed by EBR, with many shipping documents from India showing the steady flow of prototypes flown to America over the past year. There had also been a rumour, before the collapse of EBR, that the bike might be sold with the same Erik Buell Racing brand in some markets.

With a 31 HP and 250cc, the Hero HX250R will try to rival the HondaCBR250R (still sold as a 250 in some markets despite being replaced by the CBR300R in Europe). Fortunately for Hero, the last bikes still at the EBR headquarters appear to have been shipped to Hero before the American company closed its doors. Although it has already been proven right through the large number of prototypes, both in ABS and non-ABS form, that the Hero HX250R is very close to debut, the latest news from India says that the company's original plan to put the bike on sale before the end of 2015 has fallen by the wayside.

What is certain, however, is that the Hero HX250R is still an existing project which, however, risks going on sale, at least in India, during the first half of the 2016.
