Hero Hastur concept, the Indian streetfighter

It comes from India, but the DNA is American and the look is Western

Let's not expect too much, come on, an Indian motorbike won't be able to dare too much, as we are used to judging motorbikes coming from here, countries or similar. And no, it seems like the time for a small turning point, it seems that at Hero, the Indian company shareholder of Mr. Erik Buell, want to subvert – or at least start to – the usual production trends. As? With the new one concept Hastur for example, sharp like a KTM and extreme in design like a Kawasaki; in fact, if you look closely, the front brings to mind a certain "green" model...

But let's get to Hastur: here we have a modern naked with un 620 cm³ parallel twin which delivers 80 HP of maximum power and 72 Nm of torque at 7.750 rpm. Nothing special, but also thanks to only 160 kg of weight, there is enough to take you up to 240 km/h top speed. Maximum simplicity for the frame and swingarm, both made of steel tube trellis, easy but also pleasing to the eye, and the exhaust has been positioned under the twin cylinder, hidden by a large plastic tip. For the rest, the chassis is made up of one 43 mm upside down fork and a mono at the rear. Braking system with radial mount calipers and disc mounted directly on the rim.

Aesthetically, as I was saying, the style is aggressive and is based on three central points of the Hastur: the low and frowning fairing (Z1000 docet...), the high humped tank and finally the short and cheeky pigtail what can I say, a two-seater is a real feat! The driving position promises to be as aggressive as you want on a streetfighter.

A naked media for the Indian and South East Asian markets, in a style study resulting from the Erik Buell Racing and Hero duo; looking at the bike, series production seems just a formality. In addition to the internal market, given the design, it could appeal to many other international markets, and here the "home" task would be Erik Buell's, especially in the States. While on a monetary level, he should take care of the Hero to keep the purchase price low.
