Held Sambia 2in1 EVO: a Gore-Tex glove to use throughout the seasons

Seasonality redefined with 2in1 technology, Dry & Breezy. The glove Held Sambia 2in1 EVO it can be worn during cold periods or in spring and summer, without removing any part but simply changing the way you wear it.

The glove

Outside it is developed in Spandex, a highly elastic synthetic fibre. This, even when it is stretched to just under three times its initial length, can return almost to its original size. A flexibility reminiscent of rubber with superior resistance.
The palm is made of abrasion and tear-resistant kangaroo leather. Through a special dyeing process, kangaroo leather does not fade while the particular type of tanning to which it is subjected makes it resistant to humidity and sweat.
Furthermore the membrane in Gore-Tex® represents the heart of this and other Held creations, a waterproof, windproof, breathable and resistant solution. A fabric with a dual component membrane.

The part in Expanded PTFE it involves approximately 1,4 billion microscopic pores per square centimeter which are approximately 20.000 times smaller than a drop of water, but 700 times larger than a vapor molecule. This way, water in liquid form cannot penetrate the Gore-Tex® membrane and sweat as water vapor can evaporate, according to the instructions. In the PTFE structure there is also an oleophobic element that resists oils. Without obstructing the passage of steam, this prevents the passage of substances such as oils, cosmetics, insect repellents or food substances.

The two modes

Le Dry and Breezy modes they represent the two different ways of wearing this glove, via two different entry slots for the hand.
If you place it in the upper slot, which represents the "Dry" mode, the Gore-Tex® membrane completely envelops the motorcyclist's hand, protecting it from wind and weather.
If you opt for the lower one, which is the "Breezy" mode, the hand inside the glove appears in the internal part intended for the palm, in contact with a perforated fabric, therefore without the Gore-Tex® lining confined only to the back of the hand to obtain a cool sensation.
