Held: at the Motor Bike Expo in Verona it takes you on the "bull"

On the occasion of the Motor Bike Expo, scheduled for 16 to 19 January in Verona, Hero decided to have some of its products tested in a very particular way. It will not only be possible to try them, but there will be the opportunity to test some of the top products "riding" a mechanical bull in complete safety.

Among the testable products is the protective vest Clip-In Air Vest to wear under jackets Hero equipped with the Held “Clip-In” system, but also under any jacket of any other brand. The Air-Bag is certified according to the current DIN standard and opens completely within 0,1 sec. There is a chest protector pocket for the possible insertion of an optional item. Be careful though, the jacket does not include rigid protections and Held recommends using it as an addition to (not a replacement for) the classic protections of a motorcycle jacket, including the back protector. The available sizes range from S to XL, the price is 494,95 Euros

On the occasion of the Verona fair, Hero will also present a new product, the eVest Clip-in vest with airbag and IPS technology. It is a product born from the collaboration with In&motion and is equipped with IPS (Intelligent Protection System) technology capable of offering the motorcyclist the maximum level of safety and comfort. The eVest Clip-in can be worn under the jacket and attaches via the Clip-in system to all Held jackets equipped with the same quick attach/release technology. The heart of the vest system Held eVest Clip-in it is the control module In&box by In&motion (located on the back of the vest). It includes the various sensors and the algorithm which, working together, detect the acceleration and position of the motorcyclist 1000 times per second and, in the event of a non-recoverable imbalance (accident), anticipate the impact and trigger the inflation of the airbag in a fraction of a second. The airbag, in fact, inflates to the optimal pressure in less than 60 milliseconds (0,06 seconds) so as to absorb impact energy, stabilize the wearer's body, prevent injuries to the spine and other vital organs. Thanks to the data collected and shared by the In&box control module, In&motion continues to constantly improve the system. In any case, data sharing remains absolutely optional and totally independent from the sending of the various updates. All hardware and software are included in the garment and, for this very reason, there is no sensor on the bike. The sizes range from S to XXL, while the price will be 349,95 euros. It will be possible to rent, 12 euros per month or 120 euros per year, or purchase the In&box control module, for 399 euros, on the In&motion website.
