Helbiz Racing Team towards the first race of the eSkootr Championship

The first world championship of electric scooters is about to come to life eSC,eSkootr Championship. Helbiz is among the protagonists of the season and participates with theHelbiz Racing Team composed of three pilots, two of which are girls. The first meeting is scheduled in London on Saturday 14 May 2022.

The training and the series

By supporting inclusiveness in every area, the Helbiz team is made up of two girls and a boy. The team includes the Italian Sara Cabrini, born in Florence and passionate about sport. She dedicated herself to motorcycling, in particular she achieved success in the minibike series. By embarking on a career as a tire tester, she approached the eSC series, thus being part of the 30 riders selected for the first world championship regarding electric scooters.
Together with her is Jordan Rand, an American who grew up in Colorado (USA) but is currently in London. She is also an avid sportswoman, as well as a model. Also in this case, her passion for motorcycles and racing brought her closer to the world of competitions and to discover the eSC.
The team of drivers is completed by Jamiel Guarchadi, an athlete born in Lugano and passionate about adrenaline-pumping sports. Already at an early age he approached the scooter and has never given up this passion.
The eSC is the only tournament in the world featuring electric scooters, a new sports series that combines one of the micromobility solutions par excellence and the emotions of the challenge.
After London stop on May 14th others are planned between May and October, including one in Italy and at the moment we note:

May 27-28: in Sion, Switzerland;
17-18 June: in France;
15-16 July: in Italy;
16-17 September: in Spain;
October: in USA.

The Helbiz Racing Team scooter

The electric scooter was introduced as a world premiere at the last EICMA Helbiz S1-X it is the model with which the company specializing in micromobility will take part in the championship, made available by eSC and customized by the company, according to the information.
The series will allow you to reach a new target through high-level sport, always keeping in mind important issues such as safety, sustainability and technological innovation. An interesting laboratory to experiment with different solutions that can later be introduced on scooters.
The racing model was designed and defined by YCOM, a leading company in the Italian Motor Valley and features a frame made of aluminum and carbon fibre, while the aerodynamic parts are made with a new recyclable natural fibre. It is equipped with 6,5-inch wheels shod with racing tires with different compounds to allow lean angles of over 45° and a double electric motor on both wheels, obtaining a total power of 12kW.
