It was presented today at the EICMA in Milan

Harley-Davidson LiveWire – The first was born electric motorcycle of the legendary Harley Davidson, the Project LiveWire, which had the seventy-second edition of the EICMA in Milan as its exceptional cradle.

“Project LiveWire is more like the first electric guitar, not so much an electric car””Said Mark Hans Richer, Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, Harley-Davidson Motor Company. Project Livewire therefore wants to be more the expression of an iconic style, but in an "electric" key, and it establishes itself as one of Harley Davidson's most beautiful and important challenges.

There was a release, the marketing will have to wait. The Harley Davidson Project LiveWire was created to meet the expectations of motorcyclists looking for an electric vehicle, but reinterpreting it in typical Harley-Davidson style. We are unlikely to see it on the roads immediately just because it is currently being tested and is also part of the “Project LiveWire Experience”, a journey through the legendary Route 66 which involved 30 Harley-Davidson dealerships and which will continue until the end of the year. In 2015, however, the Project LiveWire Experience will also arrive Europe, Canada and Asia-Pacific to get more customer feedback.

Harley-Davidson has reinvented itself without a shadow of a doubt, as also confirmed by Matt levatich, President and Chief Operating Officer, Harley-Davidson Motor Company, who underlined how the American company's targets have transformed; also for this reason the new Project LiveWire was born, created to change the approach to product development and manufacturing by the historic stars and stripes brand, in the wake of the transformation implemented by Project Rushmore and the Street 500 and 750 models.

In addition to Project LiveWire, the Harley-Davidson stand at EICMA will offer a showcase of the latest 2015 motorcycle innovations including the Road Glide Special, Street Glide Special and Ultra Limited Low models.
