Harley-Davidson brings MotoDays Sportster Iron 1200 and Forty-Eight Special to Rome

Harley-Davidson - There will be also Harley-Davidson to the next edition of Rome MotoDays, scheduled at the Fair Roma from 8 to 11 March next. In particular, the new models will be under the spotlight Sportster Iron 1200 e Forty-Eight Special.

The Italian branch of the Milwaukee company will be present at Rome MotoDays in two different points of the show. The main stand will contain the main product innovations that have characterized Harley-Davidson in recent months. The spotlight will therefore be on the two new Sportster models just unveiled by the company: the Iron 1200 and the Forty-Eight Special, which add a new chapter to the long history and tradition of the Sportster family of motorcycles. These new interpretations of the Sportster theme combine elements of retro styling that hark back to the classic canons of the world of customization, the solid foundations of the Sportster platform and the punchy performance of the 1200 Evolution V-Twin engine; they feature high handlebars, eye-catching graphics that recall the 70s and the character of a garage-built special. Since their launch in 1957, the motorbikes of the Sportster family have been rethought repeatedly and in every way, both by the Motor Company's designers and by the owners of the motorbikes: here are Sportsters that become bobbers, choppers, scramblers or café racers; or protagonists in flat track races; or, more simply, the entry-level model easily accessible for those starting to ride motorbikes, or the personalized cruiser made to measure for each individual. “The Sportster is a bike that can be stripped down and reinvented relatively easily. In addition to the new Sportsters, completing the display of new Harley motorcycles will be the 2018 Softail family models, with the powerful Fat Bob 114 (already a best seller) and the versatile Sport Glide launched as a world premiere at EICMA last November. All new Softails boast higher-performance suspension, a stiffer and lighter chassis and are equipped with the new Milwaukee-Eight engines. Nor will there be a shortage of Touring models characterized by refined technology and new liveries. Enthusiasts will also be able to try out the motorbikes by taking advantage of the activity carried out in the demo-ride area and coordinated by the three dealerships HD Store Roma, HD Roman Village and HD Viterbo. Finally, the Roma MotoDays will be a further opportunity to talk about Harley style thanks to the new 2018 clothing collections - Genuine Motorclothes, 1903 and Garage - in which everyone can find the ideal garments to define the attitude that best expresses their personality.

Speaking of customization, the contest deserves a separate chapter Battle of the Kings 2018. The largest international customization competition promoted by Harley-Davidson, now in its fourth edition following an ever-increasing success, will in fact be the protagonist on the Harley stand. During the press conference scheduled on the Harley stand at 15pm on Thursday 8th, the first day of the Show, the winning bike and Custom King of the Italian competition will be announced. After the public chose the 12 finalists via online voting, it was up to a jury of industry and information experts to give the final verdict, the outcome of which will therefore be announced in Rome. The winning bike will compete for the global title in the final to be held next November at the Show. EICMA in Milan. The reason for such presence is that in 2018 Harley turns 115 years of life, an important anniversary that will have the right celebrations. In Europe, the appointment is scheduled for Prague from 5 to 8 July. The Roma MotoDays will therefore be an opportunity to discover what is being prepared in the capital of the Czech Republic.
