Harley-Davidson Pan America: the first Adventure Touring made in Milwaukee arrives[PHOTO & VIDEO]

New chassis and engine for the debut of the new American motorcycle

With a presentation entirely entrusted to social media, as we have become accustomed to over the last year, Harley-Davidson presented the new one Mr America 1250: first model from the American company in the world of Adventure Touring. Hollywood actor Jason Momoa, a motorcycle enthusiast who we had already seen collaborating with the brand, also participated in the presentation in the first official video. This is a new beginning for the Milwaukee company which is ready for a new beginning without forgetting its historical traditions.

Harley-Davidson Pan America new engine and chassis

For its debut in Adventure Touring, a new engine has been developed for Pan America. It is a 2 cc V1.250 Revolution Max capable of delivering 145 HP and 127 Nm of maximum torque. It is liquid cooled and has a partially load-bearing function. The V between the cylinders is 60°. The engine is equipped with a balancing countershaft and chain final drive.

Just like the engine, the chassis is also an absolute novelty for the American manufacturer. The frame is a steel tubular. The swingarm is made up of a single die-cast aluminum element while at the front the fork is upside down with 47 mm stanchions and with compression, rebound and spring preload adjustment. The fork triple tree is made of aluminium.

Price and debut date for the European market still “Top Secret”. We only know that it will certainly not be easy for the new Pan America to make its way into an extremely competitive market such as that of Adventure Touring, where names such as BMW R 1250 GS and Ducati Multistrada 1260 stand out, but it seems to have all the credentials to be able to say his.
