Harley-Davidson Low Rider S and Low Rider ST: new expressions of power for the Cruiser range [PHOTO]

The power of the Milwaukee-Eight® 117 engine

A lively combination of a Softail® frame and the character expressed by the V-Twin engine Milwaukee-Eight® 117. This is the alchemical formula of the new models Harley-Davidson® Low Rider® S (even more performing) e Low Rider® ST, in the Cruiser overview for 2022.
Low Rider S 117 is designed for the motorcyclist who appreciates power, while Low Rider ST tends towards the Touring area, considering a fixed fairing and rigid bags.

A cruiser model proposed in colors Vivid black e Gunship Grey it's available in spring at authorized Harley-Davidson® dealers.
This example features a new analogue tachometer with digital speedometer mounted on the handlebars, closer to the rider's line of sight, in place of the instrumentation in the tank console seen previously. The tank console is textured black with FXLRS badge and rests on the fuel tank, it also features a distinctive LED headlight and rear lights of the same type.
Other peculiar aspects of the West Coast style they are: a mini fairing in the same color that embraces the headlight; one-inch diameter handlebars on four-inch-high risers; centrally positioned foot controls and a contoured solo seat. The front end, the propulsion part and the exhaust are in a dark colour, so the Radiate die-cast aluminum wheels finished in dark matt bronze also stand out, obtaining a contrasting effect together with the dark components. The model is equipped with a 19-inch front rim and a 16-inch rear rim and is shod with Michelin® Scorcher® 31 tyres.
This is a new example of power from the Milwaukee-Eight 117 powertrain that delivers five percent more torque than the Milwaukee-Eight 114 found in the 2021 Low Rider S. It also highlights high-level suspension for a refined experience dynamics.
The model is equipped with an upside down fork 43 millimeters which makes the front end responsive and consistent when braking. The inclination of the fork is 28%. The higher rear monoshock, which also appears on the Low Rider ST model, keeps the rear area raised to promote ride comfort and a lean angle 1,3 degrees higher than the previous model. The hydraulic preload adjustment under the saddle allows you to preserve the performance of the suspension in different load and driving conditions. Also highlighted is a double front brake with discs 300 mm with ABS as standard.

Harley-Davidson Low Rider ST 2022

A sport-touring model that draws inspiration from the Californian "tall bike" panorama. Available in shades Vivid black e Gunship Grey, will be present at authorized Harley-Davidson® dealers from next year spring.
The new fairing was defined through CFD (computational fluid dynamics) analysis and road evaluations. Triple splitstream air intakes are highlighted, which mitigate the impact of the wind on the rider's helmet even at higher speeds. It features a single 14,6-inch LED headlight and the Dark Smoke windshield is 15 inches tall.
The dark vision is highlighted by a Wrinkle Black finish on the propulsion part, as are several other elements of the bike in glossy black. The forks are anodized black and Jet Black exhausts and 19- and 16-inch die-cast aluminum wheels are also highlighted, finished in matte dark bronze.
Three other features are also highlighted: a Signature LED headlight and LED rear lights; USB charging socket, a high satin black handlebar mounted on a 10cm riser; a low-profile, textured black console sits over the 19-gallon fuel tank; a digital display instrumentation present in the handlebar riser; Harley-Davidson® Audio powered by Rockford Fosgate fairing audio kit (compact 250-watt amplifier with DSP digital signal processing technology, pair of 5,25-inch woofers and two tweeters); a contoured solo seat which together with the raised rear suspension supports a dominant position and tall and narrow side bags which can be removed to make the model more similar to a cruiser. The lockable hard saddlebags feature a clamshell design and a dampening device that allows the lids to be opened without tearing. The total capacity reaches 53,8 liters.
The frame is optimized to keep weight down with a Milwaukee-Eight 117 heart rigidly bonded to it. The upside down fork from 43 mm single cartridge gives consistency to the front end and the fork inclination is 28%. The higher rear monoshock compared to the standard Softail®, as mentioned, then facilitates ride comfort and increases the lean angle by more than a degree. Furthermore, the hydraulic adjustment of the preload under the saddle, according to the indications, promotes optimal performance in the various conditions of use.
The braking system includes a double front brake with discs 300 mm and ABS as standard. The model wears Michelin® Scorcher® 31 tires measuring 110/90B19 at the front and 180/70B16 at the rear.
