Harley-Davidson Low Rider El Diablo: a new limited edition of the Icons Collection range [PHOTO]

A color applied by hand

Introduced by Harley-Davidson® the new exclusive model Low Rider® El Diablo, which is within the range Icons Collection limited edition and recalls an American stylistic trend originating from the West Coast. The example features a hand-applied paint job with tone-on-tone contrasts and features a powerful audio system.

Design

The model is based on Harley-Davidson® Low Rider® ST and is immediately distinguishable thanks to the color scheme applied by hand by the specialists Gunslinger Custom Paint. This starts from a base of El Diablo Bright Red and a second layer of Bright Red Sunglo. The pinstriping is masked with a layer of El Diablo Dark Red e Dark Red Pearl shaded around the lines of the panel, to offer depth to the overall vision. Then a layer is added El Diablo Dark Red Metallic which offers a fading effect in which the colors mix, always offering a depth effect. Once the masking is removed, the pinstriping lines emerge El Diablo Bright Red Pale on the fenders, tank sides, fairing and saddlebags. The golden pinstriping was also applied by hand on the parts painted in El Diablo Bright Red, thus highlighting a mix of El Diablo Bright Red Sunglo with a colored transparent element to obtain a “candy” effect.
Also highlighted are the black finishes in the front end area, on the propulsion system and on the exhaust which underline the visual effect. The wheels featuring die-cast aluminum spokes are finished in matte dark bronze.
Also connotative is the fairing placed on the frame inspired by the classic one of the model Sport Glide® FXRT, taking into account the aerodynamic performance defined through CFD analysis and road tests. There is a single 14,6 cm LED front headlight, a 15,24 cm high windshield with Dark Smoke shade and Softail® triple splitstream air intakes which, at high speeds, attenuate vibrations towards the rider's head, as indicated.
