Harley-Davidson LiveWire: an adventure of many kilometers facing different conditions

Electric prototypes Harley-Davidson® LiveWire® they are protagonists of a demanding challenge. Over 20.000 kilometers on different and demanding surfaces. An initiative documented through a series of Harley-Davidson podcast.

Some of the technical specialists and designers who worked on the LiveWire also thought about modifying and adapting the prototypes, starting from the base and defining two specials capable of responding to this challenge. The interventions were carried out in less than 30 days. After testing and feedback received, other changes were made to optimize ergonomics and storage systems. After 60 days the vehicles were taken to the extreme southern tip ofArgentina.

Prior to delivery, the modified LiveWires were evaluated at Harley-Davidson's Willie G. Davidson Product Development Center, with testing conducted under conditions similar to those expected at Harley-Davidson's Proving Grounds facilities, as highlighted.
The adventure-shaped LiveWire features a custom windshield, rear shock and triple trees made for this project, then a Rechargeable Energy Storage System (RESS), Revelation™ frame and powertrain components as well as brakes, wheels and tires taken from adventure touring Harley-Davidson Pan America™ anticipated at the last edition of EICMA.
