Harley-Davidson – The special 'bombtrack' by Harley Davidson Perugia won the third edition of the Battle of the Kings 2017, the largest European customization competition which took place in EICMA and which puts dealers from the official Harley-Davidson networks from all over Europe, the Middle East and Africa in competition to win the overall title of Custom King.

This year's competition featured all the Sportster models from the Harley-Davidson Dark Custom family, which served as the basis for the creation of the specials then actually competing. Thus, dealers in different geographical areas were able to choose between Iron 883, Forty-Eight or Roadster. And the figures for the 2017 edition are important, given that 191 dealerships - and consequently motorbikes - participated in the competition. Of these, only 10 - each winner of the title of Custom King in their country of origin - played for the overall title in the 2017 final held as part of the EICMA show, which just ended in Milan.

Harley-Davidson La Rochelle (France), Shaw's Harley-Davidson (England), Harley-Davidson Linz (Austria), Motor Saloon (Benelux), Harley-Davidson Lodz (Poland), Harley-Davidson Pfeiffer (Germany) took part in the final ), Harley-Davidson Lisbon (Portugal), Harley-Davidson Perugia (Italy), Harley-Davidson Alesund (Norway) and Harley-Heaven Dietikon (Switzerland).

The fight was intense (by regulation the motorbikes can be built with a maximum budget of 6.000 Euros and with components that 50% had to come from the Harley-Davidson Genuine Parts & Accessories catalogue) but in the end the workshop prevailed Perugia.

Steve Lambert, Marketing Director Harley-Davidson International, commented enthusiastically: “The 'Battle of the Kings' competition continues to grow and improve every year. Having 191 dealerships participating in the 2017 edition shows how keen the competition is. And the bikes, which underline how great the talent in terms of style and customization is within our dealership network, generate widespread interest and appreciation among the public. In fact, this year over 80.000 votes were collected, an absolutely astonishing figure. Congratulations are in order, therefore, to the Harley-Davidson Perugia team for taking the 2017 Custom King crown – a thoroughly deserved victory".
