Piaggio Group: the tender announced by Poste Italiane for the supply of three-wheeled scooters has been awarded

Il Piaggio Group (PIA.MI) was awarded the tender launched at community level by Poste Italiane SpA (PST.MI) for the supply of 5.000 three-wheeled thermal scooters. The order includes the new scooter Piaggio 3W- Delivery 125 cc.

The vehicles are used for postal delivery, as mentioned. Poste Italiane opted for the scooter as a functional solution for transporting volumes, also considering mobility and safety.
The same Piaggio Group is a leader in Europe in the supply of vehicles for mail delivery and delivery, winning over time the supply of over 53.000 scooters to the postal service in the various continental areas.

As indicated, the vehicle covered by the contract is the new scooter Piaggio 3W- Delivery 125 cc Euro 5, designed and created to meet the transport and delivery needs of company fleets, as well as those of the delivery sector.
A vehicle with a load capacity of 95 kg, considering a front rack that can hold 25 kg and a rear compartment that holds 70 kg. Another interesting aspect is the "high wheels" and a double-wheel rear tilting system, taking into account stability and driving safety.
The overall value of the order is over 31 million euros and delivery will be completed within the first half of 2021, as indicated.
