Piaggio Group: agreements with unions for reopening in Aprilia and Moto Guzzi

In view of the reopening of the factories Aprilia e Moto Guzzi, in the so-called “Phase 2” connected to the health emergency, memoranda of understanding signed between the Piaggio Group and trade unions, for the adoption of procedures regarding worker safety.

The understanding

As reported on the agency website HANDLE, in the defined memoranda of understanding procedures for cleaning and sanitizing the working environments are highlighted, before and also during the activity in the factories. Based on the latest indications, the proposed start of the aforementioned "Phase 2" could coincide with 4 May 2020. Although, at the moment, it is still necessary to use the conditional, awaiting further indications.
Returning to the memoranda of understanding linked to the factories Aprilia di Noale e Scorzè, in the Venetian, therefore to that Moto Guzzi di Mandello del Lario, in the province of Lecco; we still talk about "smart working" activities for specific areas or subjects affected by pathologies, taking into account the opinion of a doctor. The rules implemented in the plants are also extended to suppliers and external personnel, through self-certification, as emerged.
All operators and employees in general, always considering the information, will be given kits with various protective devices, as well as having sanitizing gel to strengthen their protection. Together with these, distancing measures are also envisaged in every work or common space, including canteen areas, just as the temperature measurement is confirmed, by specialists external to the structure, also carried out through thermoscanners, from what we have learned.
