GIVI Lime Screens: here are the bright windshields for Kawasaki

GIVI launches a new product on the market dedicated to lovers of Kawasaki:  Lime Screens, the “bright” windshields ideal for the Japanese “greenie”.

The name of this new line is reminiscent of Lime Green, the unmistakable Kawasaki colour. It uses a photosensitive pigment, introduced by GIVI on the ICE fairings, to illuminate the perimeter of the windshield in a bright green. A real "twinning" given the exclusivity of assembly on the  models of the House of Akashi.  In the world of cars and motorbikes, there are many brands linked to specific colours. From the red Ferrari and Ducati, to the blue of the racing Yamahas, to the yellow Suzuki: a constant in the cross world. And what about “Lime Green”? the green that has made Kawasaki liveries unmistakable for decades? Few know that it is obtained by mixing 10% blue and 90% yellow and that its first appearance was at Daytona, in 1968, on the fairing of Walt Fulton's A1R (the driver deliberately chose green, to dispel the superstition that believed that “unlucky” color in the racing world). Since then Kawasaki has never stopped using it and today GIVI pays homage to it through this new line of windshields, dedicated to specific models of the company. Lime Screens it has a particular technical characteristic: it adds a unique aesthetic touch to its mechanical compatibility (it integrates perfectly into the front line of the motorbike listed below) and to its aerodynamic protection: if illuminated by the headlights of oncoming vehicles, its perimeter becomes a beautiful bright green . The activation is due to a photosensitive pigment that the GIVI R&D team inserted into the perimeter of the windshields, subsequently radiused and polished ad hoc to  emphasize the phenomenon of brightness 

At the moment the "lime" windshield is available for three '17-18 Kawasaki models: the Z650 (price: 119 euros), the Z900 (price: 120 euros) and the compact Versys -X300 (price: 96 euros). The version for the brand new Ninja H2 SX will arrive soon.
