GIVI E46 Riviera: a top case with an aerodynamic design and 46 liters of space

Among the Urban proposals signed GIVI there is the trunk E46 Riviera, a transport solution with a volume of 46 litres.

The trunk

Unlike the line monokey which has a dedicated attachment for each two-wheeled example, that one monolock in which this product falls is linked to the support offered by the vehicle, usually a roof rack. TO
A factor that limits the sustainable weight and makes the range more suitable for less demanding use.
Considering the development of the E46 Riviera, the project is comparable to what is usually projected towards the Monokey models. The maximum load is: 3 kg.
The new lid rotation hinges are functional for ergonomics, comfort and positioning on the vehicle. The top-case is designed for the adoption of the E207 backrest and for electrical contacts that allow the operation of future optional accessories.

The top case is waterproof, tested in the laboratory and on the road in rain and hail, and also features a removable soft mat fixed with Velcro to the bottom. As mentioned, it can contain two helmets, even medium-sized modular ones such as the GIVI X.21. The space allows you to accommodate an optional GIVI T502B soft bag, as optional is the Security Lock SL101 key compatible with the lock.
The top case is developed through a system of complex molds, called undercut, defining a structure with greater rigidity along the contact line of the two shells with a streamlined and rounded vision, functional from an aerodynamic point of view.

A distinctive aspect are the monolithic reflectors finished with a special internal paint which allows for greater durability. They are elements equipped with invisible external fixings and there are two versions of theE46 Riviera, the specimen E46N with red reflectors and model E46NT with silver reflectors. The photo etching on the outside on the lid and bottom includes different textures.
The rear hinges do not protrude and, given the solidity and rotation lock of the lid, allowed the removal of cords or pulleys, screws on the gasket lap and transverse holes. The action of the lid, unprecedented on a Monolock topcase, is taken from the Alaska aluminum solutions.

They return to the internal capacity, which is optimized thanks to the containment of the space between the external perimeter and the internal seal. The resistance/weight ratio is also highlighted, given that the top case weighs 3,28 kg, and it should also be noted that it has passed some demanding assessments for a Monolock product.
