Giacomo Agostini, an evening with the legend

The Red Point Café in Rozzano (MI) has become an incredible meeting point for motorcycling enthusiasts in recent months. The collaboration of Yamaha Motor Italia has brought two-wheel stars such as Marco Melandri, Luca Scassa and Massimo “Maio” Meregalli to this place. The last event, however, featured the greatest motorcyclist of all time: Giacomo “Mister 15 Mondiali” Agostini.

Ago, as he has always been nicknamed, arrived welcomed by many enthusiasts and friends, at an event where we talked about motorbikes in every aspect. The champion spoke about his passions of the past and present, his opinions on the current MotoGP season and, above all, he interested all the customers by talking about the great feats and small episodes that characterized his career.

A talent that has been forged over the years riding bikes that are certainly harder to ride than the current ones. A motorcycling, if we want, more artisanal and close to that of simple fans, who do not have telemetry and hyper-technological devices at their disposal to set up their creatures on two wheels. We rely on personal knowledge, experience and instinct, three elements that Agostini possesses in enormous quantities, having used them throughout his entire career. Fifteen motorcycling world championships, all starting from daring adventures with his father's "Cockerel". Difficult and tough beginnings, which however ultimately led to one of the most extraordinary careers that sport can remember.

An evening to remember. When you are in the company of a legend, it is difficult to remain insensitive.
