George Clooney: calm returns after fear
The actor reached his family home after the scooter accident
It's true that we're all the same on the street and it's equally true that you can never be too careful. Try telling that to George Clooney. The well-known American actor, in fact, was recently the victim of a road accident while on board a scooter.
The dynamics of the accident
Clooney was in Sardinia to shoot some shots of his next film, Catch 22. A TV series produced by Sky that we will see in 2019. In a moment of break from the set, the actor and director took the opportunity for a ride aboard the his two wheels, but after leaving a hotel in the Costa Corallina area, in the province of Olbia, he was hit by a car on road 125. Clooney was transported by ambulance to the emergency room of the Olbia hospital, in code yellow, for a suspected trauma to the pelvis. The traffic police immediately went to work to verify the dynamics of the accident.
The reaction of the other party
Antonello Viglino, the 67-year-old motorist from Nuoro who was the protagonist of the accident, however, doesn't agree and wanted to clarify his position at the ANSA microphone: "I was stopped in the center of the roadway ready to turn to my left when two motorbikes arrived: the first avoided the collision, the second crashed into me. I helped the unfortunate person as I would have done for anyone. I took off his helmet to make him breathe better and asked him if he could move his legs. At that point I saw that it was Clooney, but my attitude didn't change. I was just worried about the health condition. This is my only statement. The others belong to the imagination of whoever wrote them".
Clooney has returned home
Fortunately, the consequences of the impact were limited and the actor was able to return home after a few hours to be with Amal Alamuddin and his children Ella and Alexander.
