New solutions for navigation

The devices announced are the new ones Garmin Tread SxS Edition, Tread XL Overland e Tread Overland Edition.
The first, characterized by a screen from 8 inches, is designed for the Side-by-Side (SxS) category, also known as UTVs. Instead the other two represent two versions with screens from 8 inches e 10 inches aimed at the Overlanding panorama, in contexts with wild nature and suggestive scenery.
Among the features highlighted: touchscreen designed to be used with gloves; inReach® satellite technology for communication and distress calls (active satellite subscription required); Group Ride Tracking function (available for riders who use a Tread satellite navigator) which allows you to stay in contact with other motorcyclists and a new turn-by-turn navigation system capable of routing even on off-road routes.

The new Gramin Tread SxS Edition, as mentioned, features an 8-inch screen that incorporates most of the navigation functions of the Tread Overland series and includes the Group Ride Tracker, being able to share the location and send predefined messages with travel companions. This is a new powersport device defined according to military standards to withstand even the most demanding routes.
The new Garmin Tread XL Overland e Tread Overland Edition there are two versions offered with 10 and 8 inch displays and functions that support every off-road experience. Furthermore, the Garmin Tread XL Overland Edition was selected as the winner of the CES 2022 Innovation Awards and will be visible in Garmin booth #3643 at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas scheduled for January 5-8, 2022.

Regarding the devices, the press release issued states:
– Turn-by-turn navigation even on trails using OpenStreetMap (OSM) integrated ART (Advanced Road Trails) mapping.
– Integrated inReach® satellite technology to stay in touch wherever you are with two-way messaging, location sharing and distress calling (requires a subscription that can be purchased separately).
– Group Ride Tracking function to follow friends on the Tread display or from your smartphone thanks to the Garmin Tread App.
– Topographic cartography with 3D maps for Europe, Africa (including Tracks4Africa) and the Middle East.
– iOverlander™, ACSI™, Campercontact™ and Trailer's PARK™ Points of Interest for finding campsites and rest areas.
– BirdsEye satellite images, downloadable to your device at no additional cost.
– Customized road routes based on the size and weight of the vehicle.
– Garmin Tread app to plan routes on your smartphone with the same maps, profiles and route preferences available on your Tread device.
– Pairing with other off-road devices, including Garmin's Group Ride Tracker, for location tracking and default messaging via VHF.
– Compatibility with the Garmin PowerSwitch™ digital box to control the vehicle's 12-volt accessories from the device screen.
– For the dog world, association with some GPS trackers for dogs is available, to monitor their position directly from the vehicle.
