Yamaha celebrates its 40 years of successes in the production of off-road motorcycles, real objects of desire for riders of all categories. For 2012 the 250 4-stroke receives important updates dictated by the desire to extend the list of successes achieved in these 40 years.

Yamaha YZ250F MY 2012

The reference on all cross-country tracks for its extraordinary performance and excellent cornering stability, in the 2012 version it is even more competitive, thanks to a series of significant technical improvements.

The new engine tuning, the lightened piston and the new 39 mm carburettor significantly improve the response and delivery at medium-high speeds.

The bike is more stable, thanks to the new triple clamps and the fork which is 150% more resistant to torsion. The driving feeling also improves, the frame has been stiffened to adapt to the increase in engine performance and the new design of the plates for the engine and swingarm attachment makes the engine frame assembly more rigid, improving cornering. The combined action of these changes allows for even more stable cornering behavior and a more reactive exit thanks to greater mass centralization. The gold-colored chain adds a touch of class to a bike that exceeds the expectations of the most demanding riders.

Yamaha YZ450F

No significant changes for the bike that revolutionized the MX1 class with its innovation engine with a 180° inverted cylinder always at the top of the category, thanks to the explosive power combined with a perfect balance that allows it to always be at the top in the major world competitions, such as the MX1 World Championship and the AMA Supercross. The Yamaha YZ450F is the ideal weapon for any type of rider, who can tailor the bike to himself thanks to the handheld device which allows him to intervene on the ECU settings, personalizing the throttle response depending on the track conditions and his own riding style.

Also for 2012 the Cross Yamaha range continues to offer the timeless 2-stroke, high-performance, light and powerful racing models, always appreciated by the novice as well as the more experienced rider thanks to the low running costs and simple maintenance. Starting from the preparatory Yamaha YZ85LW dedicated to younger riders, passing through the Yamaha YZ125, equipped with the rigid aluminum frame and the YPVS valve on the exhaust for superior performance, up to the specialist YZ250, Yamaha continues to believe in 2-stroke and remains the only Japanese company to offer a complete range of 2-strokes dedicated to off-road sports.

All Cross models are available in Racing Blue, Yamaha YZ250F and Yamaha YZ450F also in the brilliant Sports White livery.
