The criminal group made up of Italians aged between 39 and 53, all already known to justice for crimes against property, operated in the metropolitan area of ​​Milan and in other provinces of Lombardy, Piedmont and Emilia. The system was, until now, foolproof and well-oiled. The criminal group contacted the victim through his online advertisement for sale of the motorcycle. Then he made an appointment to view the motorbike to be purchased, an opportunity to also carry out an inspection of the garage or courtyard where the motorbike was stored. The “two-wheeled victims” were usually large-engined. Finally, they returned the following night to carry out the theft.
