From 1 Jan. 2023 Fuel prices have increased again, given that the discount on excise duties ended on December 31st. With the return of the rates, established already last March, increases were expected at the pump for petrol, diesel and LPG.

To obtain information and stay informed on the cost of the types of fuel, consult “Fuel Price Observer” on portal of the Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy, it is possible to have a comparison of prices in different areas through a geographical search.
Based on what is reported on the ANSA website which cites "Staffetta Quotidiana", the newspaper of Fonti di Energia, on average the cost of petrol during the day is close to 2 euros per liter in the stand dedicated to the service, while this threshold is exceeded not much if we're talking about diesel. However, in the self-service area the figures are more contained by more than ten cents.
