Free2Rent is the new premium rental service from BMW Motorrad

Free2Rent – Free2Rent is the new premium short-term rental service that gives the possibility to rent one or more models of motorbikes and scooters from the BMW Motorrad range on a daily, weekend or weekly basis. The service is active in the official BMW Motorrad dealer network and currently has 25 dealers involved in the project.

Born in the second half of 2015, in 2016 the project developed, involving 25 BMW Motorrad dealerships throughout the country and activating 172 contracts for a total of 494 rental days. In 2017 the project aims to grow further both in the number of participating dealers and in expanding the range of motorcycles available.

Free2Rent: some useful information

Anyone over 2 years of age and who has held an A24 driving license for more than two years can book a rental with Free2Rent. Almost the entire BMW Motorrad range is available, starting with BMW's best-selling maxi enduros, the R 1200 GS and the R 1200 GS Adventure; there is no shortage of the S 1000 XR performance crossover; the R 1200 RS and R 1200 RT touring models; the R 1200 R and R nineT roadsters. Those who prefer more agile and casual mobility can book a twin-cylinder from the F series (F 800 R and GS, F 700 GS), or opt for the comfort and dynamism of the C 650 GT and C 650 Sport maxi scooters or the innovative scooter electric C evolution.

Free2Rent also gives the possibility to rent the accessories necessary to tackle your itinerary, such as suitcases and satellite navigator, or technical clothing for rider and passenger, drawing from the rich collection of BMW Motorrad Rider's Equipment. On all models in the GS range the set of suitcases is standard and included in the rental cost. Finally, the motorbikes and scooters tested enjoy full comprehensive insurance coverage.

BMW R 1200 GS, the most requested motorcycle

The most requested motorcycle in 2016 was the BMW R 1200 GS which "collected" 73 rentals. It is no coincidence that this motorcycle has dominated its market segment for many years and is the best-seller of the range. The unique concept of the R 1200 GS, with its authentic character and powerful, flexible engine, fascinates numerous motorcycling fans from all over the world. Ahead of the 2017 season, BMW Motorrad is launching the new R 1200 GS and is expanding the GS portfolio not only through numerous product optimizations, but also by once again broadening the vehicle's features. For the first time, in fact, a GS can be configured taking into account its driver's preferred field of use, selecting one of the two style packages, Rallye or Exclusive, and thus giving preference to a more enduro or more exclusive orientation.
