IMF and the Carabinieri announce the renewal of the Memorandum of Understanding

La Italian Motorcyclist Federation (IMF) and theArms of the Carabinieri have formalized the renewal of Memorandum of Understanding in place since 2017.

On the basis of constant and extensive collaboration throughout the national territory which has proven particularly profitable in recent years, the two entities, in the persons of the IMF president John Copioli and Gen. CA Mario Five, Chief of Staff of the Carabinieri, have formalized the agreement for the extension of the Protocol for another three years. 

The areas of collaboration

The Memorandum of Understanding provides for its implementation in several areas of intervention: from Civil Protection and first aid activities to the promotion of environmental protection, from initiatives aimed at young people to raise their awareness of road safety to Forest Fire Prevention and search for missing persons activities. In particular, in recent years, there have been numerous driving courses for Carabinieri motorcyclists held by the Italian Motorcycle Federation.

John Copioli, FMI President: “The collaboration with the Carabinieri has been in force since 2017 and has immediately allowed us to implement and extend numerous activities in favor of civil society. We strongly believe in this project, which finds practical application in various areas and is important for the entire territory. There is mutual trust between the IMF and the Carabinieri which allows us to implement projects and create new ones. This Memorandum of Understanding is the demonstration of how collaboration between institutions is crucial at a national and local level to guarantee results that interest the entire community. We will continue to work to ensure that this aspect remains the main objective of the newly renewed Memorandum of Understanding. I conclude by thanking the Chief of Staff of the Carabinieri, Gen. CA Mario Cinque, for what has been done to date and for the initiatives on which the FMI and the Carabinieri will continue to work together".
