FB Mondial: the history of the brand protagonist in the Exhibition Exchange at the Novegro Exhibition Park

On the occasion of Show Exchange of the 6,7 e November 8, 2020, Novegro Exhibition Park, we remember the story of FB World.

Tradition on two wheels

Mondial was founded in Milano in 1929 with the denomination FB, an acronym that indicates Fratelli Boselli. A family of the Piacenza landed aristocracy coming from Ancarano and composed of the brothers Carlo, Luigi, Ettore, Giuseppe and Ada Boselli. The entrepreneurial activity was encouraged by Giuseppe Boselli, rider and co-owner of the Bolognese motorcycle company GD
It all started from a shop-workshop for the sale and assistance of GD models in a period in which the requests for three-wheelers were growing. During his sporting experience, Count Giuseppe Boselli met Oreste Drusiani, a skilled engine builder and in the company in via Milazzo 32 in Bologna the FB placed its first production site, building its own three-wheelers. The disappearance of Drusiani and GD caused some uncertainty in the Bolognese workshop, which was overcome with orders from the CM of Mario Cavedagni, who took over the corporate structure of Officine Drusiani, together with the founder's children Giannina and Alfonso, as mentioned.

I first motorcycles they were built after the war, considering the collaboration between the Drusiani and Boselli families. Production was moved to Milan thanks to the economic contribution of the Bosellis who took control of the company, taking back the information.
Also important is thesport activity bound to Mondial, recall the presence of international pilots in the period such as Nello Pagani, Carlo Ubbiali, Walter Villa, Bruno Ruffo or Tarquinio Provini. In 1978, a 50cc competition motocross bike was introduced; the last project of that original phase since in the same year, although continuing to exist as Mondial Moto srl, the company's production activity ended.
Then in 1999, with a licensing agreement for the use of the brand and located in Manerbio (Brescia), Mondial Moto SpA was born. Another chapter in this story.
