Regarding some previews on possible measures in favor of the purchase of traditional and pedal-assisted bicycles for the so-called “Phase 2”, the president of Confindustria ANCMA (National Association of Motorcycles and Accessories), Paul Magri, comments positively on the idea of ​​providing discounts for bikes, e-bikes and scooters, with the request that potential “forms of purchase incentives of an economic or fiscal nature are also provided for mopeds and motorbikes”.

The opinion

In a statement broadcast, the president of ANCMA Confindustria reminds you of the presence of measures connected to the “Climate Decree”, with contributions of up to 1500 euros to purchase bikes and e-bikes by scrapping the most impactful vehicles. Bearing in mind the allocation and the intentions of support that have emerged, it is considered functional "harmonize the measures and provide a structural purchase incentive plan in the short term", highlighting the characteristics of the various mobility options on two wheels. Among the positive aspects of these vehicles, Magri underlines again on the occasion: “social distancing, greater environmental sustainability, greater travel speed and ease of parking, predisposition to intermodality and less impact on urban traffic.”
In the phase following the lockdown two-wheeled vehicles could be among the main means of individual mobility, hence the aforementioned request "that forms of purchase incentives of an economic or fiscal nature are also provided for mopeds and motorbikes", taking up what was reported in the press release sent.
