Fantic Issimo City: celebrated the start of production of the first Fantic Motor electric scooter [PHOTO]

In the past edition of EICMA there was the world premiere of the scooter Issimo City, the first electric example Fantic Engine. The start of production of the vehicle was celebrated in Plants 2 di Minarelli Engines.

The specimen

The scooter Issimo City, together with the models Issimo 45, Issimo 25 and TX scooter, defines Fantic Motor's Urban Mobility proposal intended for city mobility, up to extra-urban commuting. Like the Issimo models, this Issimo City is also made in the historic Motori Minarelli factory in Bologna. The characterizing design is also made distinctive by aluminum trellis frame and large wheels from 16 inches. A generous functional diameter for safe use, easily overcoming any imperfections or obstacles.
The production includes four different shades, choosing between Fantic Red, Matt Gray, Neon Green e Night blue.

Fantic Issimo City will be available in the version L1 and then also in that L3, equipped with a standard battery of 2,2 kWh, can be integrated up to 4,4 kWh. The proposed autonomy will be 72 km, according to the WMTC cycle, reaching over 140 km in the case of dual batteries. For the L1 version there is a selling price of 3.990 euros.

The news

In Plants 2 two new production lines dedicated to "green mobility" have been set up. The line destined for Issimo City includes 18 workstations and two presses, soon to be extended with automatic marking. The workstations include a guided sequence of activities to be carried out. The line, subsequently implemented with all the tightening quality controls, is associated with the company management system to guarantee the progress of production orders. On the line there is a visual board on which production and quality information appears in real time. At the end of the production cycle, complete mapping of the vehicle is planned, considering the battery, dashboard, inverter and engine. With the daily development of 100 vehicles, a production of around 20.000 electric examples.
The ceremony was attended by employees of the two companies, Motori Minarelli and Fantic Motor, who participated in the definition of the project and several guests, including the councilor for economic development and work of the Emilia-Romagna Region Vincenzo Colla, the deputy mayor of the City Bologna Metro Marco Panieri and the Mayor of Calderara di Reno Giampiero Falzone.
