A champion who, once famous, entered cinemas with the lights off so as not to be recognised, as remembered on the occasion.

He won everything that could be conquered then, collecting well nine world titles of which you're in the 125 class e three in the 250. He also won eight Italian laurels, another achievement that he highlighted. A master surpassed, speaking of world successes, only by the legendary Giacomo Agostini and from Spanish Angel grandson. Mike Hailwood e Valentino Rossi, at different times and periods, have equaled his record. In 1950 and 1952 Ubbiali, again on Mondial, placed second in the race for the title.

Carlo Ubbiali's last public appearance took place just last year in July for FB Mondial, at the launch of the FB Mondial Sport Classic (the Pagani 1948), at Motosplash in Milan.
