Energica Experia: a new electric travel experience [VIDEO]

In a video proposed by Energica the new one is the protagonist on the YouTube channel Energy Experia, a tourer resulting from Energica Motor Company SpA's experience in the development of electric motorcycles.

The new Energica Experia is the first model associated with a new second generation "Energica Green Tourer" technological platform. Among the innovations we highlight: a new chassis setup, a redefined EMCE electric motor and a revised battery chemistry. Functional factors in weight containment and for optimized dynamics.
The battery and motor are newly designed. The battery capacity is increased with a lower weight. A lower centralized center of gravity also promotes better confidence at low speeds, as indicated. The large capacity battery, with a maximum of 22,5 kWh (19,6 kWh nominal), can be recharged from 0 to 80% in 40 minutes with a Level 3/DC fast charger at a maximum rate of 24 kW, again according to the information. It is also possible to use a level 2 (240 V) and level 1 (120 V) charging solution in the office or during longer stops, or even at home during the night. Energica is the only manufacturer to offer all three charging levels, as reported.

The new, lighter PMASynRM EMCE (Synchronous Reluctance assisted by permanent magnets) motor is positioned lower than other models. The maximum power touches i 75 kW (101 horsepower) and torque of 115 Nm.
An extended range is also expected: 246 km (153 miles) combined with 420 km (261 miles) in urban areas, according to the indications.
In Launch Edition, designed for long-distance journeys, features new rigid side bags and a top box with a total capacity of 112 litres. The edition also includes heated grips, aluminum rims with red details, black ergal terminals and bolts.
