Energica EGO, “The Ultimate Drag Race” before the stars and stripes debut [VIDEO]

Energetic EGO – Someone in Italy had fun in this special drag race. Nicknamed “The Ultimate Drag Race”, these guys have put together, in a spectacular video, the electric supermoto, Energica EGO, a Tesla Roadster, a Tesla Model S P85D, the race ready BMW 1000RR HP4, a Ferrari 458 Italia and a Zero S. The result, as you will see, is that the Energica electric superbike fears no rivals, both on two wheels and on four wheels.

The video was posted by a YouTube user, “ih8u2be”, and is described as “documentaries on parks and the environment, PSA renewable energy, high-tech environmental projects, short films, music videos, movie trailers and educational videos". The Energetic Ego is now ready to be legally sold in the United States, since it has now passed EPA and NHTSA accreditation and certification. This means that the US market will have a new player in the two-wheeled EV world.

The brand Energica has already confirmed that the first batch of electric supermotos Ego is almost complete and that the company plans to deliver the two-wheelers to US customers no later than Q3 of the 2015. Not exactly a cheap offer from the Italian brand in the US market, given that the Energica Ego is expensive 34 thousand dollars. Unfortunately, for now, it is not yet known for sure whether there will be a second Energica model, a streetfighter based on the Eva, also ready for the US market.
