Energica Motor Company: positive trend of the 2020 order book confirmed

The growing prospect has been confirmed in light of the data declared last 16st January, with a further increase of order backlog 2020 that it currently affects “100% of the total orders for 2019 for a value of approximately Euro 2,3M”, as reported by the company Energica Motor Company SpA

An evolved range

In the overall picture, the expansion of the distribution network at a global level is functional, including 59 resellers worldwide, with 45 in EMEA, 12 in North and Central America and 2 in Asia-Pacific, together with the new MY2020 range introduced at the last edition of EICMA, which presents innovative and interesting aspects. In particular, the technological standards and related performances have been renewed, thanks to the power unit from 21,5 kWh which promises 60% more autonomy, translated into over 400 km in the city, therefore a 10% increase in torque with a 5% weight reduction, taking up the indications.
The same growth in interest in electric vehicles on the reference market is another highlighted aspect. Specifically, in Italy there is a greater sensitivity to this type of mobility, given that taking UNRAE data, 10.566 electric cars were sold in the area last year, i.e. a figure doubled compared to 2018. Speaking instead of two-wheeled vehicles, ACEM values ​​also indicate a 97% increase in Europe (vehicles <4kW excluded), between 2018 with 7.478 vehicles sold and 2019 recording 14.739 vehicles of this type. In support of the reported growth and the industrial plan, the “roadshow” indicated on January 16th “to obtain financial resources for a total of Euro 7 million, of which 60% will cover 2020 and the remaining 40% in 2021”, taking up the statement again.

Perspectives

Considering again what has been reported, confirmation of the 2020 turnover objectives of the industrial plan of approximately Euro 6,5M is expected, according to estimates. Furthermore, expecting to achieve a turnover exceeding Euro 20M in 2022 with an EBITDA margin of 7%, “not yet fully operational” as specified.
Furthermore, they remain separate from these estimates "the effects of the partnership with Dell'Orto SpA aimed at the sale of power units dedicated to small and mid size EVs (Electric Vehicles) (mopeds and small motorcycles) with a revenue sharing model of 50% on their marketing", as indicated again on the occasion.
