Energica Motor Company SpA e Dell'Orto SpA have signaled the signing of an agreement collaboration for the development and marketing of a new one Power Unit aimed at electric motorbikes, therefore EV “small size” with a power that amounts to up to 8 / kW 11 e “medium size” up to 30 kW.

The two companies involved in the sector of high-performance electric motorcycles and in the creation of electronic injection systems have already collaborated in FIM Enel MotoE World Cup, which started on July 7th.
Both Energica Motor Company, both Dell'Orto, thus strengthening their respective development and expansion paths in the segments EV small e medium size considered to be experiencing strong growth; evaluating a prospect of over one million vehicles per year and an increase recorded in Europe, in light of a Q1 2019 compared to Q1 2018 of 79%, based on ACEM data, as reported.
Dell'Orto SpA boasts over 85 years of history and a growing turnover, which in 2018 was approximately 100 million euros, in the sector of production of fuel systems, for large manufacturers of the "two-wheel" market and also large companies that they deal with four-wheel vehicles. A company also involved in sporting activities, considering the presence in MotoGP and Moto3, as well as in the aforementioned MotoE with a data acquisition system, taking up the indications.
“The project has the ambitious objective of offering technologically advanced solutions to large manufacturers operating in the sector” of the means a "two wheels" is indicated in the press release, thanks to a synergy between Energica's know-how in the field of electric propulsion systems and Dell'Orto's knowledge in the creation of injection systems, therefore the production and commercial capacity in the European, Chinese and Indian contexts.
The pact includes “the joint development of an innovative system based on the know-how of the two companies and a 50% revenue sharing model on its marketing”, always repeating what has been reported.
